Snow blowers and blades, gritters and spreaders

Snow management from Kersten and Meyer
Winter maintenance from Kersten: a company that understands. Plus Meyer; specialists in snow management.

Kersten offer a full range of winter maintenance machines suitable for the K-series and UBS series of power units, most ride-on mowers, a wide range of compact tractors and many other prime movers. These attachments include snow ploughs, snow blades, snow sweepers, snow blowers and spreaders and for 2012-13 comes a range of brine sprayers.

We have the Meyer and Cerruti range of snow management equipment – exclusive to us in the UK.

The HSE 1992 Act (now including the HSE Preventing Slips and Trips at Work 2005 Act) states that in abnormal weather conditions, arrangements should be made to minimise risks from snow and ice on floorway and traffic routes. Meeting the requirements of this regulation can involve salt-gritting and snow clearing. Section 41 of the 1980 Highways Act states that highway authorities have a duty to ensure that the public highways under their jurisdiction are kept free of snow and ice.
In addition many local authorities and public organisation have to prove that they have carried out preventive measures and track this activity.

We work closely with organisations that can offer this support, such as APD.
